How Much Does a Gas Station Owner Make Per Year?

Gas stations are a hyper-competitive business and running one is a lot of work. It’s not just about fueling up cars, it’s about serving the right customers and doing it well. And if you’re thinking about opening your own, you might be curious about a gas station owner salary.

There’s a lot of work that’s going to have to go into starting and running your gas station. Not to mention the capital that goes into setting up your gas station. You really need to evaluate whether it’s worth it or not for you.

So, what is a gas station owner salary?

As you might guess, a gas station owner salary varies depending on a number of factors but a successful gas station owner can make anywhere from $40,000 to $100,000 annually. But it’s going to take a lot of work.

Bring on the Snacks

Just like how movie theatres use snacks as the main event, gas stations have the possibility of upgrading their profitability using snacks and other goodies that people can purchase. More items to purchase means a possibility of making more money.

Choose the Best Location

Location, location, location, as they say. A profitable gas station is most likely the one that more people can access and use. Gas stations on major highways that are easily accessible are more likely to do better.

Build a Great Customer Service Team

Customer service matters in every industry and good customer service can possibly increase sales. If someone is choosing between your gas station and another one that have similar prices but one has significantly better customer service, where do you think they’ll go?
