Client feedback and reviews are essential tools when it comes to building and growing a business, especially if you’re a solopreneur or running a small start-up. Asking your clients how they like your services, if they’d recommend you to friends or family and how you can improve is essential.
4 Reasons Why Client Feedback is Important
We both know that you have an awesome business with superior products or services, but nothing’s perfect. And client feedback can be a great way to connect with your customers, improve your product and grow your business.
Client feedback and reviews shed insight into how your current clients interact with you and your products, and where they’d like to see something different. It can help with acquiring future clients, keeping the clients you already have and improve your business.
Specifically, here are four reasons that feedback is important to your business:
1. Improving Products and Services
Client feedback is essential when it comes to improving your products and services. Sure, you have your own ideas and thoughts about how to improve. But your clients who use and interact with your product or services probably also have some really good insights.
Asking your current clients for feedback can be a great way to gain insights and ideas on what you should or could look at from a client’s perspective when it comes to making product or service changes. Did I mention asking for feedback is typically low cost and easy to do? So, why would you pass it up?
2. Check-in on Client Satisfaction
You want your clients to be satisfied with your products and services, and client feedback is a great way to ensure that. Feedback surveys or client interviews can be a great way to check-in and ensure that your clients believe they’re getting the right value and the best service or product.
3. Enhance Customer Experience
Much like when it comes to product improvements, feedback can be a great tool for improving the customer experience with your product, service and overall business.
What is customer experience? It’s the product of the interaction between your client or customer and your organization as a whole—that includes interacting with your product or services, staff and representatives and even interacting with you online. And feedback can go a long way when it comes to improving that.
4. Plan For Your Future
The future of your business is probably one of the things that you think about most often. And client feedback can be essential in deciding what that looks like. You want to build a business where your business and your clients grow together, and that is best accomplished by taking feedback into consideration when doing your planning.
How Can You Get Client Feedback?
Client feedback is a no brainer. But a lot of companies avoid it because they don’t think it adds to their overall business goals (it does), it’s too time-consuming (it’s really not) or they simply don’t know how to obtain it.
If you’d like to take a crack at getting client feedback, I would recommend starting with a survey. They’re easy to put together and relatively non-intrusive. Not to mention, by using a service like Survey Monkey or the like, you can typically do a small feedback survey at no cost!
So really, what are you waiting for?
